Helpful Teacher Websites

These are the teachers' websites that I found to be helpful with ideas for activities, structure and organization.

Mrs. Jump's Kindergarten - www.mrsjumpsclass.com
This teacher's website offers themes for each month of the school year that are very creative as well as readers and writers workshop ideas. In addition, she offers emergent readers that are perfect for guided reading. Her classroom seems very organized with labeled bends, colorful and creative.

Mrs. Jones Classroom-Resources for teachers - www.hellofirstgrade.com
This website offers a variety of resources for teachers such as online read alouds, phonics, science writing, math games and activities, differentiated instruction and much more!

Mrs. Nelson's Class - www.mrsnelsonsclass.com
This website offers ideas and activities for setting up a classroom, teaching reading, writing, math, using developmental and literacy centers, developing thematic units and story lessons. In addition, printables are available for free download.

  1. Thanks for the websites suggestions. I will look at them tomorrow and give you feedback about them. There were also some interesting ones on my blog from Gimpy. http://dwhiltey208.blogspot.com/

  2. I really enjoyed browsing the websites you submitted; the content, presentation, the layout and quality of resources are great and we do have one in common, mrsnelson's class which listed several teachers in one place and it's very easy to navigate throughout the sites. I also liked how parents are noted as well and the teacher Jennifer Jones has a great photo gallery of the children's work. Very nice!

  3. Hello! All three of the websites you posted contain sections of photos from real working classrooms. I love to see the different ways teachers organize their learning centers and materials. Photos are also very revealing. I noticed that all of the student art work shown on Mrs.Jump's website is "cookie cutter" art. "Cookie cutter" art is more about learning a skill or learning to copy as opposed to really learning that art can be used as a tool for self-expression and discovery.

    Cheers,
    Rachel
